“Thank you SO much for letting me be a part of such a great event with such wonderful talent! The Asia Pacific market is rife with music that people in the States rarely get to hear and I hope to change that with some placements if possible. One Movement MUSEXPO Asia Pacific was so well-run, you would have never known it was the first year. I can't say enough great things about the entire event. Cheers!”

“What can I say sir but a big thank you for having me over at a truly wonderful conference. It was great to meet and spend quality time with so many people. The atmosphere was fabulous, the bands great, the learning plentiful and the business opportunities tremendous. Congrats to you and the entire team that put it together. Look forward to keeping in touch.”

"Just a quick note to say thank you for a wonderful time in Perth. The conference was fantastic as was meeting up with the bunch of blockheads who are still in the music business!!! Your hospitality was amazing and thank you again for it. I really hope Perth can become an annual event. It's an awesome place and I am still on a high after four days there. Thanks again and hope to meet up soon."

"One Movement surpassed my expectations. The panels were excellent and the level of delegates was outstanding. We are already in discussions with several parties regarding opportunities for both Sarah Blasko and Kate Miller-Heidke. I'm confident we will have quantifiable results in the very near future."

“In the madness of this crazy and often brutal business, it is often easy to think everyone is out to cut off your balls! Last weekend was a welcome reminder that the opposite is in fact true--and all you guys were a part of that, for which I thank you! Sat--you continue to be a guiding light even in these less than certain times. Your ability to pull clear-thinking people together to discuss and debate is a real knack. Also, your rare open-hearted generosity is significant as we all try to turn uncertainty into opportunity. Thanks as ever to you and your fabulous team. Chuggi and David, thanks especially for helping me to make the trip work for Davy--the investment we made will repay itself a thousand times and I am looking forward to bringing him and CBR back to tour, and to developing a true partnership with you. OM deserves to succeed, and you guys get my vote! If ever I can help with anything, let me know.”

"One Movement has exceeded all our expectations. We've signed a publishing deal for Joe Echo with Mushroom Music Publishing and next week will be announcing the new worldwide major live agent who has agreed yesterday to take Joe on. We also expect to sign to one of the labels that we've been talking to very soon. The organisation has been outstanding and we hope we'll be invited back to the Festival next year. "

"Congratulations. I did the JB Seed management workshop a couple of years ago. To follow it up with One Movement was amazing, the Dave Holmes mentorship session right through to all the others and the showcases. Catching up with Richard Kingsmill and some Huge International contacts who had heard of Dan Sultan . Well done."

"... thank you for the few days in perth. I think it has conceivably two or three of the most efficient days of networking for me personally at any of these conferences. So thanks for that. Also: i do not want to overpromise anything now, but think there will a great deal coming from this trip and we are expecting to do quite a few aussie acts in the near future (and many in the medium term). So to a large extent this first year (which is always the most difficult to get going) has already delivered an impact. I hope the authorities stay behind this (and the security personnel does not). From our side we will also be very keen to see if we can get some sort of presence going for next year from a south African perspective (Even if it is just one evening, but let’s see.). Apart from the business and the music it was also friendly and receptive and i really felt welcome (which says a lot as i know it grates the fibres of an Australian heart to assist SAfricans (ha-ha).) So thanks again. And we will be in touch. You can count on our support and please use us as references or whatever if needed (We work well and regularly for beer). Nice. Godspeed. "

“The inaugural One Movement festival had proven to be almost 100% what we as South Africans were looking for to start the process of normalisation of the live music market between the two countries. For years now it has been felt that there had been a opportunities on both sides of the ocean for artists and music business people but an easy one stop event focussing on these territories did not exist. One Movement filled that gap. It was probably two or three of the most fruitful days of music relationships of my life. We will definitely be back and hopefully with a much bigger contingent of people.”

"Just wanted to say that the festival looked and felt great! From the set up to the production it was certainly once well produced show! and I'm sure over the next few years its going to be a tour de force for the music industry."

"Hi everyone, I want to pass on a huge thank you and congratulations for pulling together such an extraordinary event. It couldn't have been better organised and each and every one of you were a pleasure to work with. The one-on-one sessions were invaluable, as was the chance for the delegates to see how an artist's fans react to them, and both set apart One Movement from most other international showcases. Special thanks to APRA for singling out AvS for the cross-cultural collaboration, we are already talking to Tigarah about tours and have been approached by music supervisors for the track etc. If even a fraction of the opportunities that have been presented to Art vs Science over the weekend come to fruition, it will have a very real impact upon the band's international career and for that the band and I are extremely grateful. Please let me know if you want a testimonial, we'd be more than happy to offer one. And whoever organised for me to sit next to Steve Strange on the five-hour flight home is a genius. "

"The One Movement for Music Festival has provided an invaluable platform to raise the international awareness of new bands like Art vs Science, and start a dialogue in front of serious players in the international music industry. Real outcomes have been achieved in the 24 hours since the Festival concluded - I am now planning to head to the UK to meet with some of the world's biggest agents and labels in November, and we have been invited to perform in LA next year. This was all achieved away from the usual distractions of Sydney at the impressive location in Perth, which I believe was integral to the success of the event."

“Thank you for inviting me to be involved in the inaugural One Movement for Music festival. It was an enjoyable weekend, some great acts on the showcases and some good acts on the Festival. It was good to meet numerous younger band managers and industry players who are passionate about the industry. It was also good to get feedback from them that they felt they were learning something.”

“We all had a memorable time especially the bands, the festival layout was world standard and all staff made us very welcome and were a pleasure to work with. This was my first visit to Perth and I did not realise what a beautiful city it is. The event reminded me of SXSW in the early days, I hope that the event continues as I feel it has the potential in years to come to build as SXSW has done.”

"Thanks for having Bertie Blackman and Red Ink. Lots of great things happening in Red Ink world. We’ve been offered a substantial deal from Sony and we are currently negotiating with lawyers. We’ve had some great feedback from labels in Japan as well from the event so we thank you 110% for One Movement for all your assistance in making this all possible."

"Congrats on a great conference mate. I have to admit I was dubious about how it would work or how effective it would be, but it looks to me like it was a real triumph and the start of what will be an important event in the Australian music calender. Simon and I both got a lot out of it and there many new contacts and great people we got to know as a result. "

Thank you so much for putting together such a wonderful and effective event. I was completely floored by the professionalism and seamless weaving together of all aspects of the event. And by this I mean everything from pre event support, to curating speakers at panels, pre panel briefing, movement between venues, festival artist showcases to the final airport drop off. I most definitely left the event with a whole new set of industry contacts and more importantly friends. Unfortunately there wasn't enough time to meet everybody though I believe some fires have been started. I have to admit this is true of all of Sat's networking events. The festival was beautifully designed too, being just the right size and mix of showcase and outdoor event formats. Definitely an approach worth keeping.

“What a magical event!!! I had such an amazing time in your fair city and at your event! To see your event succeed in its inaugural year, while the music industry is going through tough times (and the entire market for that matter), is a testament to everyone's hard work!!!”

"I'd like to thank you for the great organisation of One Movement For Music and your warm invitation to get me involved. It was a fruitful experience and opportunity for me to enjoy music, get to know more new friends from the industry as well as to network with other venues. This is definitely one of the best industry events that I have attended. Perth is beautiful and with Shane from Venue West and Judy from Burswood were also very kind to show me their venues and drive me around for a bit, I have certainly seen the best parts of the city. It was lovely seeing you there and I am hoping to see you again soon. Thank you once again!"

"Just want to put out a big thankyou for letting us be part of One Movement. As a first time event I think you should all be incredibly proud, the feedback from industry has been fantastic. I am honoured that Street Press Australia was a part of it I think it helped grow our brand enormously. Great work to you all and to Dave, Michael and Sat you should be incredibly proud of your team as I have no doubt that over the weekend things went wrong but from a delegate you would never have known as all the staff were so helpful and calm under pressure. I really hope that we are part of One Movement for many years to come."

"I can't express enough how grateful I am to all of you for your fantastic work over the weekend. You were so accommodating, so well organised and cool, calm & collected. "Before anything else, massive congrats - One Movement was absolutley amazing! The atmosphere around the city was incredible, the panels (both the speakers and the attendees) was like a one stop shop for whoever you could think of speaking to and the festival was incredible - the production was exemplary and set up was killer. I spoke to a lot of the artists out back and they couldn't get over the artist area, the delegates seemed equally as amazed by their area. The fringe really spread the vibe throughout the CBD - the Wolf Lane stage and carpark was definitely a highlight for me personally - unbelievable space. You guys really do go the extra mile. No wonder you are all exhausted. Cheers Bruna, and congrats again, absolutley amazing weekend (I honestly made more connections and organised more in the past three days than I have done in the last year)."

"One Music Movement was a hugely ambitious project.. When it was first touted it was hard to see how they could achieve such a grandious plan in little old Perth. Well the event is now over, and I can safely say they delivered on all that was promised without compromise. It was extremely well ran, the site looked fantastic, the musical performances from all bands – local, national and international were exciting. But the best part as a member of the industry was the quality of the conference. This was, I decided , the “No Bullshit” conference. I have travelled to many music conferences around the world ,and Perth's One Music Movement topped the lot. The Panels were interesting, informative, challenging and were at the right level for the delegates attending. The sharing of information, networking and new relationships formed was fantastic. Representing both a band at the embryonic stage and a band that is a major word player , I found many new opportunities for both that we will explore down the line. It also was a fitting celebration of the quality of Australian music that now abounds on our shores, and the foreign delegates will be raving about these for months to come all over the world."

"I wanted to write + say a major + warm thank you for having invited me to the One Movement conference in Perth. I so much appreciated interacting with you, your Matthew, Carmel Foley + your team that all reflected the best of Aussie professionalism + good karma. "I caught up with Ralph Simon – a very good friend – last night before he hopped on a plane. He filled me in on his Dianne Warren – what a coup getting her and Seymour Stein - and remarked on how well it all went. Congrats. It’s very hard to establish something from scratch and sounds as though you got off to a good start."

Showcasing to top international industry figures has seen some very exciting developments for All Mankind, on a global scale. It was truly a pleasure to learn and grow from the shows & seminars as we rubbed shoulders with other artists, the fans, and the industry. The One Movement Festival has provided unique and significant opportunities for the development of our careers, and those of many other Australian acts.

“Just wanted to extend our thanks to you for having All Mankind perform as part of One Movement for Music. We were blown away by the quality of the event, and the size of the crowds on Sunday was particularly brilliant. I believe you (Chuggy) were in the audience at our show on Saturday night (at the George). Thanks for coming. We also had a US label fly out to see the show and we’re now in negotiations for a worldwide deal.”

“I really felt that one movement was a pivotal moment in the Australian and Asian music industry as an event that will be something people in the industry around the world will want to be a part of each and every year. One movement is one of the best conferences I’ve attended and the organisation that went into the event was illustrative in really showing the rest of the world not only how beautiful Perth but just how deep the musical appreciation, knowledge and understanding runs in Australia. The panels were fab and its always great to hear the different philosophies that people have right now given that were in such a changing environment."

Seymour Stein |
“I feel I was present at a historic event. Same way I felt when I went by instinct only to the very first MIDEM back in 1966 or 67 right after Richard Gottehrer and I started Sire Records. I know that I am echoing what most other people thought. One Movement was totally groundbreaking.”

"Congratulations on a great opening to the inaugural One Movement for Music. I am sure it will only grow from strength to strength in a few short years. We heard great feedback from artists , venue managers, promoters, agents, delegates, and patrons. VenuesWest are very appreciative of the group you got together for us for the Friday lunch and we can see how we could help get more concert venue managers along next year. And thanks to Matthew for overseeing the 2 panel sessions. The organization and follow up was fantastic, so to Saskia, Sam and all the staff behind the reception/help desks thank you for everything. Well done."

"A quick note to congratulate you and your team on the success of the inaugural One Movement for Music festival this past weekend in Perth. It was really good - the conference discussion and networking activities were superb, with lots of international business deals being transacted on the sidelines. The festival atmosphere at the Esplanade was truly buzzing and the showcases highlighted what amazing talent there is in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. With the beautiful city of Perth as the backdrop and the support of the enthusiastic local community of music-lovers at the festival, I'm sure that this event will continue to grow from strength to strength. I have already reported to the Canadian Consul-General on the value that I see for our participation. I look forward to working with you to support increased Canadian connections and involvement in the next edition of One Movement."

This is definitely an amazing opportunity for artists and our career. You can get to play at the big stage, at the festival in Australia, and besides, many music industry VIP from over the world will come and see your show. It's not every day that you can get to know these people and connect with them. And for music industry, it's also very international and great opportunity to find a new fresh artists from everywhere in this world. I'm very glad and fortunate to be the part of it. Perth is a very beautiful city with a great weather and great beaches. I had a opportunity to go to the studio and write songs here, and it was very relax and inspiring place to be. It would be very nice to come back and do music again!! Tigarah

"Hi everyone, Just wanted to say thanks so much for having myself and Wolf & Cub. I personally had the best 3 days. The panels were great, the show cases were great. The hospitably and organisation was amazing! You guys should be very proud of yourselves !! Wolf & Cub's show case went so well it looks like we'll be releasing and touring in Canada in 2010. If you need me to be a reference or quote me for anything on the festival I would be more than happy to do so. Keep in touch and can't wait for One Movement 2010!"

"I've just had the privilege of visiting Perth for the One Movement Festival. I flew in from Chicago for just three days so I didn't have much time to explore the city. While I was there I went running three times and was extremely impressed with the biking/running paths along the water. The conference and festival was outstanding, particularly the quality of the delegates and artists. I intend to return. All the best, Tom Windish I was most impressed with the delegates I met and saw speak. I also met promoters from South Africa, India, Singapore and China. Hopefully these encounters will contribute to the future of my business. I was also impressed with the quality of the performers and the quality of their business associates, i.e. managers. I met a lot of extremely bright Australian managers who are looking after some extremely talented groups. Even though I am no outsider to Australia, I felt like I learned as much about the Australian market through the one on one meetings as I was able to pass on about the US market."

“It was an absolute privilege and pleasure to be involved with this. History may tell us that OMMP was a Tipping Point for the Australian music industry. One thing is for sure – I will be back there next year... and will bring the Troops with me. England may well have won The Ashes in 2009 but Australia is truly trumping us on the music front right now, both in terms of the quality of the music they are producing and the drive, energy and collective optimism of the executives working in the music sector.”

"I'm extremely happy to have participated in One Movement for Music & MUSEXPO Asia Pacific. The Asia Pacific region is one of the most rapidly emerging music markets in the world and it was great to attend an event that brought together some great people from around the globe to this burgeoning music landscape."

"Thanks for the photo but a HUGE thanks for putting on such a world-class event. To me, the event seemed like it had been going for years. Everything went so smoothly and the organisation was superb. I met some wonderfully brilliant people that all spoke my language - music!"

"One Movement was a fantastic, well organised event, with speakers and topics of the highest calibre from their respective fields. We did not need a taxi or public transport once to go between the two hotels and the outdoor area where the bands were playing. Everything was walking distance. The amenities at the Parmelia and Rydges Hotels were first class as was the presentation and infrastructure of the event. We will definitely be back next year."

"I just wanted to thank you for all the support you've given to all the bands in Asia. All this would not have been possible if it wasn't for you. The members of Biuret are still pinching themselves over the experience they've had over the weekend, and bit worried that they may wake up from this dream any moment. Thank you for keeping the dream alive!"

"We just had the best time ! This has to have been, the best organized music and business event we have ever attended. Many people said we were mad coming to Perth for the weekend from Southampton (Uk) ,and perhaps we were . . . but it was worth every ounce of effort that it took to get there, aside from the Immense hospitality ,the great speakers ,panels, and acts we made more solid business connections in 3 days than we have in a month of sxsw’s ! So much so ,that all being well we will be back in Australia for a six week tour late February 2010 and more than likely ,have secured a sponsorship with a major Asian beer manufacturer . Thank you so much for the opportunity ,it was a real stretch for us ,but one that we know will pay dividends for years to come ! It was great to finally get to meet you after Steve Willis telling me probably two years ago that I should “catch up with Sat ! “ I particularly enjoyed your interview with Dave Holmes ,which more than anything convinced me that we are on the right track . I sincerely hope that we will get the chance to “catch up “ again soon ,thank you so much for having us."

"Dear All, Usually after any music conference, there is an initial euphoria that anything can be achieved, how East will most definitely meet West, names are dropped like bombs, promises are made in the whirl of cocktail parties and we start singing "We Are The World." And then nothing happens, everything fizzles out and we walk around carrying The End Is Nigh signs. Not so with OneMovement. Now, one week since our return to Hong Kong, the euphoria might have died down, but the work has begun in earnest. The business of Business has taken over from social networking and we'll now see just what might separate the men from the boys and how we all move forward. For myself and my company, real new business opportunities have already opened up. People I have met have written asking for advice as opposed to favours and free ideas. Big difference. Through word-of-mouth, investors have been in contact- and which is always good for the soul and possibly even better for the wallet. For me, what is most important is that the music I heard at the Festival, I am sharing and this morning I woke up to hear Sara Blasko on Radio Television Hong Kong. The DJ mentioned how I had "discovered" her in, "of all places, Perth. By the way, it was my first trip to Perth and I loved it and thought it to be THE perfect location for a music conference and music festival. Mates in Sydney and Melbourne have been gobsmacked to hear this! Meanwhile, many mates of mine actually IN Oz have been asking ME where Sara Blasko is FROM- and if she's "new" and where they can hear "more of her music" other than the YouTube links I have forwarded!!!!???? Chinese artists are asking me if they can perhaps record duets with her. Yes, that OneMovement, that important and much-needed Bridge To Somewhere has begun in earnest. Many Thanks again for the invitation to attend, to participate, to share and to question. It really was One Movement and I am proud and pleased to have been the only Sri Lankan from Hong Kong via the UK and New York to have been part of it."
